I'm the marketing director at the Murray County Medical Center, a smaller rural healthcare facility comprised of around 120-140 employees. We are located in the small southwestern Minnesota community of Slayton, home to around 2,000 - serving those in Murray County, Minnesota, and beyond.
My primary work responsibilities include creating, updating, and distributing MCMC's marketing materials that promote our prioritized service lines, providers, and rural healthcare clinic. I do also manage/oversee one direct report, who is responsible for establishing, planning, and delivering more of the public relations focused activities for MCMC. In my role, I'm the main contact for most other aspects related to marketing and our overall department functions. I manage the budget and track expenses, attend board meetings, maintain the website, create content for both online (social media, etc.) and offline (primarily newspaper and radio) publications, and more.
