Chris Kane has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a health system executive and management consultant. He is the Chief Strategy Officer at Phoebe Putney Health System. Prior positions include senior vice president responsible for strategic planning and business development at Wellstar Health System and a partner in the health care consulting practice of KPMG.
His areas of focus include strategy, physician-hospital partnerships, organizational design, and mergers/acquisitions/affiliations. He has assisted hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, physician groups, and managed care organizations nationwide to improve market, financial, and organizational performance. He advised clients on Certificate of Need matters in more than 20 states. He has also published a variety of articles and speaks frequently on topics in strategic planning and physician-hospital integration in health care organizations. He has been a speaker at the national meetings of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. He is a former chair of the Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He serves on the advisory board of the Institute of Health Administration at Georgia State University.
Chris received his Master's in Business Administration from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
