As this year draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the incredible journey we have shared as SHSMD members. It has been my privilege to serve as advisory board president during 2023, and I’m so excited about SHSMD’s future.
This last year has been one of remarkable achievements and unwavering commitment to empowering professionals like you who drive the success of health care organizations and solution providers. SHSMD provides a platform for members to learn, connect, and grow professionally, all while facing the significant issues that continue to challenge health care.
Why does membership matter? SHSMD remains a beacon of support and guidance by providing timely resources and insights, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration; and helping the American Hospital Association – our parent organization – advocate for important policy changes. Those are all critical activities.
Overall, I hope that you feel that SHSMD has helped you and your colleagues navigate a complex and challenging landscape.
Looking Ahead to Next Year
I am excited for the continued growth and impact that SHSMD will have on the health care industry. Our advisory board members and staff recognize that the challenges facing health care will persist, and we are committed to providing you with the support and resources needed to thrive.
I encourage you to remain active, contribute to our initiatives, and share your voice. Together, we can continue to empower our strategy professions and shape a brighter future for health care.
