Today marks a new era for SHSMD, as we launch our new brand and website. The changes you see represent more than just a new color palette, creative design, logo or typeface. They are designed to reflect who we are today and our commitment to positioning our members for the future of a rapidly transforming health care field.
As health care has evolved, so have you, our members – and we have too! Over the last several years, we’ve worked to provide you with the enhanced programs, tools and resources you need to advance both your career and your organization.
“Rapid change is the new normal in health care, and it’s vital that SHSMD’s brand stays current and reflects what our members are experiencing every day,” said Alan Shoebridge, director of marketing, Salinas Valley Memorial Health System and board member, SHSMD. “Refreshing our brand is a visible expression of our commitment to serving our members with the content, thought leadership and practical tools that our members need to be successful.”
For several months, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create a new brand and identity that more accurately reflects our organization, and most importantly, our members. In today’s evolving world of health care, we know our members are diverse. Whether you are a strategist, marketer, business leader or ‘all of the above’, we know you are dealing with new challenges and technologies that are changing health care at a dizzying pace.
Through its various resources and publications, like Futurescan, SHSMD provides insight about the convergent forces contributing to the ongoing change and disruption in the market. Whether it is evolving health challenges like the drug crisis, the opportunities and challenges presented by technology or the transition to value-based care, there is no question that the industry is in a period of significant and disruptive transformation.
“The resources available through SHSMD are invaluable to the field of health care strategy and marketing. As a young professional, the opportunities that the SHSMD organization offers to connect and build relationships with health care leaders from across the country has truly benefited and helped to shape the foundation of my career,” said Amy Jose, integrated marketing strategist, Spectrum Healthcare Partners and board member, SHSMD. “The rebrand displays another way that SHSMD takes care of their members by staying current in this ever-changing industry.”
Educational programs, insights and a network of peers – SHSMD membership is designed to provide you with the resources and tools you need to prepare for the future. And today, we launch a ‘new’ SHSMD brand that more accurately reflects our industry, our programs, and, most importantly, our members.
“Whether you’re an early careerist wanting to accelerate foundational learning, a professional with deep out-of-industry experience looking to understand the nuances of health care, or a senior leader seeking to hone your perspective on an emerging topic, SHSMD has an array of resources to accommodate many needs,” said David Grandy, vice president, office of transformation, Kaiser Permanente and board member, SHSMD. “The brand change reflects our vision for a future of health care where contributions to the national dialogue come from many perspectives, backgrounds and levels of experience, and where each member can become a catalyst for transformation at any scale in their own organization.”
