Bio

I am an energetic researcher and strategist with the international company I co-founded, Feedback.

My research interests lie in studying differences in the evolving nature of online behaviour - specifically all aspects of socializing on the internet, from forums to ratings to social networks. Also, the reflection on how niche audiences and their actions are impacted by innovation, technology and pop culture. I am committed to bringing respect and understanding between the generation gaps that exist in technology. In 2007 I completed my PhD in Education, focusing on observing, engaging and connecting generations online.

Through Feedback I have directed behavioral studies and strategic recommendations for industries as wide-ranging as pharmaceuticals to tourism and for both b2c and b2b models.

I have spoken to a wide variety of audiences, including digital, tourism, finance, healthcare and higher education industry veterans and novices alike. Audiences have included: Worldwide Partners conferences in US and Asia; SXSW; the Society of Healthcare Strategy & Market Development (SHSMD); National Health Service of the UK; Childrens Hospital Association; American Institute of Architects; Craft Brewers Conference; Texas and Virginia Bankers Associations; various nonprofits and statewide public relations and marketing associations across the country; Virginians for the Arts; guest lecturer at colleges such as University of Colorado Denver, Virginia Tech, Washington & Lee, VCU Brandcenter, Virginia Commonwealth University, Georgetown University, Roanoke College, Ferrum College and others including graduate-level courses in marketing.

I was raised in Yorktown, VA and have lived in central, southwest and eastern Virginia. I currently live in Richmond, VA. You'll likely find my daughter and I geeking out over tabletop games, comics, and travel.

Near term goals include being as creative and happy as possible in and out of professional work, just like a typical Generation X'er. And that's a big reason why I co-created Feedback in 2009.
