Tom Peck, LFACHE, is a proven strategist and marketing and public relations executive with more than 35 years of experience in developing and implementing communications and marketing initiatives for leading healthcare companies. He is a senior business leader who has earned a reputation as a successful strategist with expertise in content development, branding, marketing, public relations and advocacy to position clients for success. Tom opened Tom Peck Communications in February 2004 after more than 25 years of leading the public relations and marketing functions for large hospitals and health systems, including six years for Research Medical Center and Research Health System (now Health Midwest) and 19 years for Texas Health Resources. In 2006 he joined forces with HSC Marketing in Dallas, as vice president, and in 2012 he became a senior consultant for Stamp & Chase in St. Louis, MO. His firm has worked with clients across the country and around the world.
Tom is a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (LFACHE). He also is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development of the American Hospital Association.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Public Administration-Health Services degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has served as a member of the board of directors of the American Society for Hospital Public Relations (ASHPR), a predecessor organization to SHSMD, the Health Industry Council Foundation of DFW, The American College of Healthcare Executives of North Texas, the Texas Bioethics Partnership, and Legal Hospice of Texas. He has chaired both the Dallas and Fort Worth units of the American Cancer Society and for seven years he was a member of the Environmental Health Commission for the City of Dallas. Tom is fluent in Spanish and is an Eagle Scout. He enjoys traveling and volunteering.
