Kathleen Harkins is principal of Harkins Associates and author of Healthcare Consultative Selling™ Instructional Program. Harkins Associates provides physician relations consulting and training, ACO physician-hospital integration services, and provider-based “direct-to-employer” solutions.
With deep knowledge and hands-on experience in issues of healthcare reform, policy changes, new payment initiatives, and an extensive background in physician relations, Kathleen works with provider organizations and ACOs to direct the activity and messaging of Liaison and Business Development staff.
Prior to forming Harkins Associates in 2004, Ms. Harkins served six years as Chief Marketing Officer for a regional managed healthcare system. From 1991 to 1996, she was Vice President for a healthcare developer and operator of treatment facilities, where she was responsible for business development, the sales organization, growth strategy, and new service launch.
Previously, Ms. Harkins was Director of Marketing & Sales and Director of Corporate Identity for a public healthcare company, with 15 subsidiaries, including a hospital and physician management company, where she was Director of Marketing & Sales. Kathleen worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a number of years in sales, sales training and management.
